Visiting Santa

Today Reese and i went to see Santa! She's been talking about "Ho Ho" for weeks. She always points out everything Christmas related that we see. When it comes down to it though, she's been a little afraid of him! Today was actually our 4th trip to see him. She always talks a big game, but will never actually touch him. But, today I had a plan:) We spent all morning talking about Santa, and getting excited for the visit. And, I called in some backup. Erin Fulghum and Baby Sophia met up with us to see Santa. I knew once Reese saw Santa holding a baby, she would be all about it. Worked like a charm! She wasn't too sure about it, and has a terrified "deer in the headlights look," but she never cried. She was so excited when we got there, that she almost jumped out of the stroller waving at Santa! By the time we left, she was her usual self, talking up a storm. She even told Santa that she wanted a kitchen for Christmas. He asked her if she would make him some cookies, and she said "Yes, hot" ones!

November 2008

November started with grandma Udden's Birthday. We had a great time with friends and family at our house. Reese and Kipp were both very excited about all of the desserts! For Thanksgiving, we were blessed to have my aunt Ellen and uncle Ron, cousin Stacey, and the Simpson family come to visit, as well as the Henry family. The house was non-stop chaos, but we all oved it! Crosby got to play with Chesney (the Simpsons dog) Kevin got to hunt with John, and Reese couldn't get enough of EVERYONE, espacially Jacob! She was his shadow for their entire visit. She still asks every day where they all are, naming off each one of them. We also add grandma and grandpa, Hashley (Ashley), Pip (Kipp) and Cody to the roll call. occasionaly Chesney makes the cut too! This is all usually done at bed time, and i have to tell her that everyone of them is already at home in their bed!

Reese is in love with her koozy. It's leopard print with brown fur at the top! She asks for it all of the time, and insisted that Jacob have one too! She is quite the talker-actually, she never stops talking! Her favorite things right now are: Babies-all types, real ones, dolls, ones on TV commercials..random ones she hears crying when we're out running errands. Her world stops for any baby. We now have 6 at our house (thank you cousin Michelle) one in the car, and 2 at grandmas. She also loves her cartoons, namely Dora, Diego, Handy Manny (anyone notice a theme here?) and "Pets" as in The Wonder Pets. She loves the songs in them, and dances along. She talks to Dora and Diego as well. Another favorite thing is having me blow-dry her hair after her baths. One night she grabbed my hand, led me to my bathroom, put my hair brush to her head and pointed at the hair drier. It was all down hill from there! Kevin laughed and informed me that would just be something I did with her. But oh, he is weak! The first night I wasn't here for bath time, I came home to find all of my hair stuff out! He might not have done it the same, but he's a good dad and he took care of her!

I just put this one in for fun! Such a little Lady! Yes, she is topless. I knew the spaghetti was going to be everywhere, so I took the easy way out. she's always trying to put her feet on the table, so I let her get away with it long enough to get a picture! I'm sure she'll hate me for this one later in life:)
