Merry Christmas!

Reese got to meet Santa on monday, and she LOVED him! It's not really suprising, she is such a happy baby. She pretty much loves everyone she meets. I'm glad she seems to be so interested in Christmas. I am a complete Christmas person. Reese and I drive around with the movie 'The Grinch' playing on DVD in the car. I already know every word by heart, and she has started to sing along to some of the songs! She had a great time playing with the jingle bells on Santa's suit, and she talked his ear off. Another not so suprising fact! The people taking the pictures couldn't believe how happy she was for her first meeting with Santa. Hopefully she'll be just as happy when Santa comes to visit her at the sitters tomorrow! We'll see. Reese has her own Christmas tree in her room. It is a pink feather tree, with Barbie ornaments. She loves to look at the lights, and feel the soft feathers. She also likes to model her little fur coat and hat.
Crosby wasn't too sure about sharing the spotlight this year for the Christmas card. He is such a good dog, he let me take pictures and move him around for about 20 minutes. He looks so big in these pictures, we call him Reese's Big Yellow Clifford!
I'm not sure what made them both lean over at the same time, but I managed to catch it on film! This is also one of the VERY few times you will see Reese with her "serious" face. She is usually all smiles and giggles. I think she was trying to show off for Crosby. She is so fascinated by him. All he has to do is walk in a room, and she just starts smiling and talking to him!
We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Baptism

Reese was baptised in October. We waited a little longer than most parents do, but it was worth it. Kevins aunt Merilyn Austin was able to make the baptismal dress from my wedding dress. It took a little convincing, but she finally agreed to cut up my dress. It turned out beautiful, and now I can actually say that my daughter wore my wedding dress! Kevin Steinert and Ashley Henry are Reese's godparents.
Look, Kevin actually let me hold Reese for a while! He held her through the ceremony, but let me have her for this one picture!

Halloween!

Reese was a mermeid for her first Halloween! We started the trick-or-treating early, with stops at Kevin's office, and my mom's over lunch. That evening, we made a few stops before Reese decided she'd had enough. Not too bad for her first year! With Olivia, Hannah and Audrey Steinert at grandpa and grandma Polks.
Cousin Kipp wasn't too sure about the whole costume thing. He really wasn't sure about his mom holding Reese on her lap!
