Reese cracks me up on a daily basis. Most of the time, it's not on purpose. Sometimes, it's her trying to make me laugh so she won't get in trouble!
1. She tells on herselkf. WHen she's doing something she knows she isn't supposed to, she'll say "Ma! No No No" She'll even come find me in another room to tell on herself.
2.When she is in trouble, and I tell her "NO" in my best Stern-Mother's-in-Charge-Serious voice, she just laughs at me. Grins, and laughs. The more I say no, the harder she laughs.
3. "Hi" is her favorite word. Especially when she is trying to avoid things like going to bed (she obviously isn't ready to sleep if she's still greeting people!), or wants to distract me from something. When she's about to get in trouble, she'll look at me and say "hi" in her sweetest voice. I guess this is so I'll be so overcome with lovey feelings for her that I won't notice her unplugging the cords and playing with the light sockets.
4. She's been waking up topless. Evidentally, she now knows how to take off tank tops. I went in to get her from a nap last week and she was standing up at the end of her crib, topless. Her pink tank top was on the floor, she looked at it, pointed and said "Uh-oh!" I wish i could've gotten a picture, but the camera wasn't here.
5. Her tired walk. This is one of the funniest things to watch. When she's tired, she starts to walk like a drunk. She'll be walking along, and she'll start to stick out her belly really far and lean her shoulders back a little. Then every few steps, her knees will slightly buckle, and she'll kind of dip down, still walking. She looks like she's going to just hit the deck at any minute.
And for those of you that don't know, she has quite the vocabulary these days. Here's a taste of Reese language: Hi, (favorite word) Bites! (second favorite word)Uh Yeah (to answer a phone, or simply point one out to you) Dog,(she LOVES dogs) MA!! (me) daaaaddddyyyyy (in the sweetest voice you've ever heard, for Kevin) Osby (Crosby) Nigh-Nigh (Go to sleep) Bay-Be (Again with the sweet voice, for any baby anywhere) Lout Lide (outside, her favorite place to be) Bath. (second favorite place to be) D (Miss Diane, her sitter) There's lots more, but I won't bore you with dinky, drink, yes, no, etc.

Busy, Busy Girl
August was a very busy month for us. Reese and I took two trips out to Colorado to visit our friends Clark and Erin Moeller, and we welcomed two new little friends, cousin Roman Kippenberger and Miss Sophia Fulghum. These are some fun shots from the past month-no theme going on here!
This is going to be Jimmy's Christmas card we decided! His nephew, Austin Pierpoint is holding Sophia. We invited Austin to join us all for our "family dinner," and the next thing he knew he was holding a baby. He left shortly after this picture... it took him a month to come back to dinner with us. And, when he did come back, he stayed outside in Kevins living room (the garage) to watch football. I think he was afraid to come inside:)
Just one for fun! Someone asked me the other day if Reese was getting big. I replied honestly that no, she's not, but her personality and attitude are!
We went to the Betsy Johnson store in Denver, and Reese was in heaven. That store is so girly and pink she didn't want to leave. Oh, and she had Jimmy's cell phone, which always makes her happy. Ya never know when she's gonna need to call someone!
Reese likes to help Kevin in the backyard. She doesn't do much but walk in circles and talk to herself. Crosby is not too pleased to have her taking over his backyard as well as the house.
We wnt to KC to celebrate the Henrys' birthdays (Kipp 2, Cody 12, Ashley...?) Reese and Kipp are learning to share things, including grandpa! Kipp likes it when Reese leaves. She gets blamed for everything that happens at their house for a couple of weeks after we visit!
